I have motorcycle and it gets 60 miles per gallon.

News, Gas Prices Spur Motorcycle Sales.

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Higher gas prices are boosting motorcycle sales, according to central Iowa dealers.

"Some bigger bikes like the 500S get 58 to 60 miles a gallon," said Katie Lundstrom of Struthers Brothers.

Struthers Brothers had a 50CC scooter that got even more out of a gallon of gas. The dealer said a single-cylinder 250CC Suzuki gets 82 miles per gallon.

No. My brother was killed on a motorcycle. He was very careful, but you just never know what other people on the road are going to do. I'd rather just pay and be alive.

I've been riding since 1968, I would hope that no one starts riding just for the mileage unless they're willing to take a safety course and wear the right gear. It's a lot of fun but can get pretty gnarly out there.

My car get's close to 60 mpg (Honda Insight) but it is nowhere near as fun or as as a motorcycle, but it can haul a lot more and it is safer.

I'd be too nervous. I'm with the above poster. Rather get a car that gets close to that
