The Smurfs just looks like another cherished childhood memory gone the way of lame 3D animation lacking any charm or character that will likely get better reviews than it deserves.

There's obviously little imagination or originality left in the film industry, because all they seem to be doing nowadays is putting out remakes.
Right, I remember when Scooby Doo live action came out; I was stoked until I saw it. My love for Scooby Doo died after that.

If The Smurfs were animated like on tv I would have been happy to see it, now I will not. I sure hope they don't do the same to the Thundercats.

Nah, they're not doin' traditional animation for the H-B cartoons anymore.

Thundercats, on the other hand, may be live-action. I say, more than likely... with more CGI, though.

I'm with AlGreen on this one. Maybe not so much for Winnie the Pooh, but Cars 2 will be a must. I wish they'd come up with Finding Nemo II. With Ellen! But I will be spending some moola on the Hangover II.

I can't believe they made a Smurfs movie. WTH? Leave my childhood alone already!

I just feel so sorry for kids coming up now. Today's children movies and cartoons suck and are all about overstimulating our kids with nonsense. I'd much rather mine watch the old 2-D stuff that I grew up with.

Yep. That's pretty much gone.

Even shows like The Simpsons, South Park, and Family Guy aren't as "traditional" as they used to be.

Cowboys and Aliens seems interesting, could be a hit or miss but I always thought "Weird West" was an intriguing genre.
