Just remembered one - Clint Eastwood. All his movies have been great so far. I know I went to see J Edgar mainly because it was directed by Clint Eastwood !!

IMDb - Hugo (2011)

Yeah, I really want to see it, but I'm still going to wait for the DVD. I absolutely loathe 3D.

None, apparently. I haven't been in a theater in about nine years.

Tim Burton ~ we must have similar dreams/nightmares.

I love his imagery.

Michael Bay
Ridley Scott
Jerry Bruckheimer
Mel Gibson

These all have big budget movies with either lots of special effects and/or epic scenes. A bunch of people kissing and talking is the same on TV and in the theater there is no difference for example when it comes to a comedy.

But Independence Day, Con Air, Black Hawk Down, The Patriot, Transformers, etc is DEFINITELY different on the big screen. Definitely.
