Since I was there at the height of the CBGB - NY Rock scene - it's doubtful that loving it is a possibility.

What are your thoughts?

Are you THE Sheena , as in "is a punk rocker"?

I'd tend to agree with you especially if focuses on the last decade or so of the place. As legendary as the club was in its earlier days, it's unlikely to be the subject of a feel-good movie.

It's worth watching. The movie itself ... ain't that great. The story bit off more than it could chew and swallow, so most of the characters come across as barely shallow. It really isn't a story so much as vignettes of events. Some of those vignettes definitely have some great moments. But as a whole, the movie just doesn't really hold together.

But stylistically? The movie is a lot of fun. I loved the comic-book frame format between scenes. The music is great. And even if the script doesn't give him much, Alan Rickman is fantastic.
