I still love 'the Robe'

also like Ben Hur but mostly because it brings back memories of times past.

OP, did you get your answer? did the numbers turn out to support on Sunday?

Probably pretty close to what he looked like, at least in my mind (although the photo you posted could look a bit more animated and intelligent). That picture looks befuddled, lol. The actor in this movie was pretty darned sexy as you said.

Getting back to the movie...we saw it as a family this past weekend. The acting was very good although I didn't care for the portrayal of Pontius Pilate. The actor looked like he bit into a bitter lemon for most of his parts. It was okay and made me cry. The whole theater was deadly silent when everyone left and folks were crying in the bathroom...men included. Crying aside, I found it a bit disjointed. It seemed to flit from bible scene to bible scene, not really getting too much in depth. It covered A LOT of ground in a very short time. I never really got a good feeling about what Jesus was like as a person. What was he talking about around the campfire with his followers? What was he like outside the big bible moments? Probably too much to ask for when they are covering so much ground.

Anyway, decent movie and I'm glad we saw it as a family. Gut wrenching at the end although not as drawn out and torturous to watch as Mel Gibson's movie was for me. I thought Gibson's movie was good too.....just very upsetting to watch.

Ben Hur was great and so was the 10 Commandments.

I liked them.
I liked them, too. But they're ... what? 40 years old? 50?
