Your first link is where movies are filmed and the second two are where the movies are set. I don't think they're really the same thing.

But to contribute to the thread, I'll submit Wilmington, NC

They've been filming in Big Bear Lake, Ca for over 100 years.
Lots of TV episodes also, but some movies are ...
Last of the Mohicans
Gone with the Wind
Old Yeller
Paint Your Wagon
War Games
When a Stranger Calls
Dr. Doolittle II
Frankenstein
Beethoven's 3rd

It's cheaper than Tahoe

Well, there's also Monument Valley (Arizona and Utah).
Lots of westerns, probably most famous - John Wayne and Stagecoach.
Easy Rider
Forrest Gump
Eiger Sanction
Thelma and Louise
And even Dr Who

I wanted Brian Keith as my Dad
I thought he was perfect.

And then I had the opportunity to meet him about 30 years later while he was filming a commercial. I was so excited driving up to the site!

He had a mouth like a truck driver, LOL.
