…and the last scenes in The Continental Divide, ca. 1981, a movie that was supposed to break John Belushi out of his slapstick movie comedy role. Those scenes were supposed to be shot in Victor, Idaho. I did all the sign work for the location there. The crew worked on the set for a month.
Just before the scenes were to be shot, a private airplane carrying an assistant director or someone crashed on landing at the Jackson Hole airport, just over the pass (and the continental divide) from Victor. everyone died.

The deaths caused the shooting to stop, and it began to snow in Victor during the pause. Since the script had no snow included in the scenes, everything was packed up after a 30 second interior shot was filmed and moved to Big Bear Lake as a last minute substitute.

Someone on the net claimed the location was in Washington state, but it wasn't.

This may make tiny Victor the least-used location ever.

Are you talking about the original Last of the Mohicans filmed in the 1930's? I know the 1992 version was filmed entirely in North Carolina.

Actually, the 1920 version with Wallace Beery!

I would like to submit Savannah Georgia. One of my favorite films, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, was filmed there entirely as well as several others. America's first planned city.
