Not surprisingly, store offerings are getting increasingly scarce, though some good deals can be found. I ordered a documentary from the HBO store, but there are so many sites for movies, TV series, etc.
Do you have a favorite with a great selection, shipping efficiency, and reasonable prices? TIA.
I don't like to buy DVDs (I do most movie viewing online now, and don't like the clutter of having oodles of movies I only watch once) but on the rare occasion that there is something I want to own a copy of, I go almost exclusively to Amazon.
I buy all the new release Blu Rays on Amazon. I've probably been buying 20 or 25 per year for the last 15 years. I realize the economics of owning Blu Rays are totally stupid but we all blow our money somewhere.
I've made a number of very unfortunate buying mistakes along the way. Scrolling through my order history for the last 4 years, my buyer's remorse collection includes: Mister Peabody and Sherman, the most recent Godzilla, The Amazing Spider Man 2, The Lone Ranger, Pacific Rim, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
Godzilla, Spider Man 2, Pacific Rim? Love those movies.
What was wrong with the Lone Ranger? It kind of flopped. I have not seen it yet.

Amazon for most, especially hard to find titles...Best Buy when I need/want something immediately during first week release because they are $5.00 lower, and by that time I usually have a $5.00 reward offer, thus making it $10 off.
Target is also good for the automatic 5% off with their card.
While I have cut down tremendously on buying the physical version for myself, I still buy DVDs for for school use (I'm an Elementary Librarian); for example when a movie version is made of a popular children's book like Wimpy Kids.
For myself, for example I recently have bought Fast and Furious, Avengers Age of Ultron, and Jurassic World...next up the enhanced Verison of The Hobbit: Battle of the 5 Armies.
