I happily confess I haven't seen any of his films, but in trailers and other random TV appearances, Will Ferrell seems to be stuck in a really unfunny ball of twine that just keeps gaining dull momentum.

True, as well as in The Good Girl (2002), but those have been her only "stretches" as an actress.

Thought of another one: William Hurt, who always seems so...tired, out of breath, depressed, and morose...

Mark Wahlberg always seems to play the same role- a Bostonian with a fake tan.

Danny Trejo is always the Mexican tough guy character even in Sons of Anarchy.

But seriously, Chuck Norris and Steven Seagal always seem to play the same character except for Machete.

Samuel L. Jackson does have some more versatile roles, for example Black Snake Moan and the Star Wars prequel trilogy.
