For me, I would say his best role was as the vampire Lestat in "Interview with a vampire".
Born on the 4th of July in which he played a paralyzed Vietnam Veteran. Here, he got caught in an ambush shortly before the Tet Offensive of 1968 and was wounded badly. He subsequently struggled to get
adequate care in the VA hospitals and became an anti-war protester. It was based on the true story of
Ron Kovic.
