Usually, you have to have seen a movie to have an opinion on it. But what do I know?

Not necessarily. You can have an opinion on why you're choosing not to see a movie.

Obviously. I find it odd. But again, that's me. I avoid threads of movies that I am not interested in, that I probably won't see, and respect the others who create the OP and let them discuss it since they are going to see it, or have seen it. What do I have to add since I won't see it? I'd feel like a troll.

You may find it odd. Others disagree. The opinion isn't just on the movie per se. It's also about this particular director's decision to make it, and the observation that he seems to be following a pattern. We don't have to actually see the movie to recognize that.

That would belong in a Clint Eastwood thread, probably in Politics and Other Controversies. This is about a specific movie.

And the discussion is related to this movie, since it is the one currently in theaters.

As much as we would like to, we don't get to dictate the discussion in our threads. As long as it is relelvant (it is, in this case), it's allowed.

The Movie was better then the Trailer. 100% a Based on a True Story. Everyone cheered at the end of the movie.

Sure, if you've actually seen it. Makes it easier to discuss.

We don't have to see it to know that it follows a directorial formula that has been emerging with other films like Sully and American Sniper.

These threads are not limited only to people who have seen the movies.
