Both currently on HBO. I haven't gotten to III yet, but I re-watched II the other night for the first time in 20+ years.

Is it as good as PSYCHO? No, of course not. PSYCHO is one of the greatest movies ever made.

But PSYCHO II is a totally respectable sequel. Great horror movie with a few surprises. It's beautifully shot. Meg Tilly is adorable in the movie. And Anthony Perkins is brilliant. He manages to be sympathetic, vulnerable, likeable, and absolutely terrifying all in the same scene. And unlike PSYCHO, number II is even really funny in a few places. Not in a ham-fisted way either. The humor flows naturally from the characters and the plot.

So if you have HBO and you've never seen PSYCHO II, check it out.

People still watch HBO, when you have all these other streaming services? lol nothing wrong with that .

I like Psycho II a lot, but was disappointed in III overall.

Yeah it's just no one I know uses it for like the last few years, and I thought they might have went out of business .

Yeah, with huge failures like GAME OF THRONES and TRUE DETECTIVE, I'm sure they'll be going under any day now.

I watched PSYCHO III yesterday. You're right. A few good moments, but for the most part a very forgettable movie.

I found the whole mother twist in III to be contrived, like they didn't need that per say, and that the original story was fine how it was, and they didn't need the extra twist on top of it, perhaps.

Yup. The opening scene of the movie is one of the most unintentionally hilarious bits of melodrama I've ever seen onscreen. The rest of the movie is a pretty standard '80s slasher flick. Anthony Perkins is really the only redeemable part of the entire movie.

Yes.

I kept expecting Michael Palin to dash in, screaming that no one expects the Spanish Inquisition.
