ie Fiona in Four Weddings and a Funeral...although in that movie, her hauteur is masking a heartbreak.
As far as sleeper films with K S-T, check out Up at the Villa...I enjoyed her performance in that.
Idi i Smotri (Come and See)-A Russian WW2 film, about a young Russian boy who joins the partisans to fight the Nazis. Very strange, haunting, disturbing, powerful, and raw. The scene where the Nazis invade the village is probably the most realistic depiction of war I have ever seen in a film. For everyone who is so gung-ho on Spielberg films such as Saving Private Ryan, I direct them to this one. This film probably isn't for everyone, though; but it's one of my favorites. Still sticks with me...

Coupe De Ville with a young Patrick Dempsey, Daniel Stern, Arye Gross, Alan Arkin. This is an excellent movie and I highly recommend it. Anyone I've told about it that rented it say the same thing-awesome!!
I also love "Tea With Mussolini" starring a great cast
My favorite movie - I have a hard time considering it a sleeper because I liked it so much - is "Once" an indy film about a brief relationship between an Irish busker and a struggling young Czech lady. Lovely, lovely film - not a "bad" guy in the movie. Absolutely excellent soundtrack!
"Blood Simple" from 1984. The first feature film the Coen Brothers made. Outstanding movie and performances. I rarely come across anyone that has seen or heard of it.
Donnie Darko. NO ONE I know has seen this movie, and it is a brilliant movie.
I don't know how old you are, but a lot of people (more "cultured" people you could say) from my generation have seen that movie, although I guess it could be considered a sleeper hit in a more general definition.

Really? Some people still think it was their best.
A similar neo-noir movie is Red Rock West.

It might be a generational thing, though I and a lot of other boomers I know saw and appreciated Donnie Darko.
