Waitress is a movie that stars Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion. It follows the life of Jenna (Russell), a pregnant, unhappily married waitress.
I LOVED it! HBO was showing it for a while and I kept putting it off, thinking it was just going to be so-so, but it definitely was better than expected.
If you haven't seen it, (and you like chick flicks), you should!

I loved Waitress too - especially Nathan! It was fresh and funny and left me with a good feeling. Sad story about this film - the director, Adrienne Shelly and fellow co-star (the dorky waitress with glasses) was murdered in her NYC apt right before it was given an award at Sundance.
I saw that too. It's very sad because she was amazing and incredibly smart! She was murdered at her apt by a an illegal-alien construction worker she caught stealing from her purse, and because he didn't want to be deported, he opted to kill her. I'm not really sure why he thought that would be a better option.
I saw Waitress and was pleasantly surprised. I'm not into chick flicks, but I saw it on the shelf of the library and thought what the heck. I probably wouldn't watch it again, but I got a kick out of all her different pie recipes. It was worth watching.
Yikes I didn't know it was a chick flick I should have guessed But seriously, I love the movie. It's part of the wave of independent productions like The Station Agent and Little Miss Sunshine that are bringing creativity back to Hollywood.
One of my all-time favorites (and I REALLY didn't think I was going to like it)
