I definitely enjoyed it..Cruise really played the role well, despite some harsh criticism. Excellent supporting work from Terrence Stamp and Tom Wilkinson as well.

I thought the movie was pretty good- It started off kind of slow, but it kept me glued.

Default Vakyrie movie

Valkyrie had good potential to became a great movie. But the handling was not good enough. The story was underdeveloped and characterization was thoroughly lacking, to say the least. So this movie wasted its historicity and the potential emotional drama it could have triggered in the minds and hearts of the viewers.

Default me me me

I didn't get a chance to see Valkyrie in theaters (no money unfortunately, lol) but I did go out the day it was released on DVD and picked it up. As a student of history, I can say they did some serious research on this topic. They nailed it -- particularly as far as casting went. Much as I love Tom Cruise, I thought Bill Nighy stole the show. There are some absolutely fantastic extras on the DVD too about Bryan Singer going to Germany to film and meeting with government officials about how to do the movie right. I'm so glad to see this movie dispelling some of the rumors about "all Germans were Nazis" because if this movie shows us anything, that's simply not true. I would highly recommend picking it up if you get the chance. They've got it on Amazon -- just search "Valkyrie".

We took our 4 kids to see it, ages 17, 19, 20 and 23. At Christmastime we always see a movie together and ended up picking that one by default for some reason. Surprisingly, every one of us liked it.

You express my thoughts exactly. I saw this film a few days ago and although it was good, IMO it could have been better.

I thought it was a pretty good movie. Tom Cruise did a pretty good job in the lead role.
