Sounder (1972) A beautiful drama, I truly enjoyed it. Into the White (2012) Cool WWII flick with really good aircraft battle scene. If you enjoy this type of movies, I recommend it!
Watched two Franco movies last night, "Spring Breakers" & "This Is the End". I almost turned Spring Breakers off, the first 45 minutes were unbearable until Franco came in & even then....it was just so over the top. The other one wasn't bad, pretty stupid & overacted but it's Rogan, Franco & the rest of the gang, what can you expect really?

AGREED. Bored college chicks get inspired to be hard core gangstas...smh. Spring Breakers came off like a south suburban version of movie "Belly".
By the way, last movie I saw was indy film called "Charlie Countryman" with unrecognizable Evan Rachel Wood and Shia LaBeouf.
Lincoln, excellent. Quite fascinating on so many levels. The depth in which they touched on the philosophical, legal and psychological, aspects truly made this a most engaging movie.
Left me reeling and speechless, still can't get it out of my head the next day. Brilliantly conceived minimalist set and staging, impeccable acting by stellar cast. Concept and plot will have me thinking for a long time to come.
Immediately a top 5 all-time favorite for me. Maybe a top 3.
When it was released there was much talk about it being "anti-American", but no I didn't get anything remotely like that from it, it's universal and not definitively anti-anything.
