Wiplash (2014) A promising young drummer enrolls at a cut-throat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student's potential.

Wow! What an amazing movie. I was blown away by the acting, the music....just wow.

Star Trek Into Darkness. I'm a big fan from the original TV series. I liked the first one with these young actors but this one I did not.

Concussion over the weekend. I would say it was 3.5 out of 5 stars. The acting was good but the story line was slow and average if you like rollercoaster plots.

Steve Jobs. I have read the book by Isaacson and liked it. This movie, though, was boring as hell.

The Revenant (2015) This was a good movie, but very long and very stressful. I hate that Hollywood changed the way the story ends, but that's Hollywood for ya.

SPOILERS

I definitely had issues with the fact that Hugh Glass sustained such horrific injuries and yet was still alive and moving around like he simply got a scratch. I mean for crying out loud, the grizzly bear bit him again and again and clawed his throat and yet he was up and walking around like nothing happened.

Just got back from "the Force Awakens"
Very well done. Sure, there are some plot catches in there now and again, but it was pretty well done.
Much better than the last three releases.

Frontera (2014)

Michael Pena and Ed Harris are two of my favorite actors.

My rating; a solid 8/10
Some of us take the recommendations here seriously, so remember, with great power comes great responsibility

I watched our bluray of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1. We started watching the ABC Family marathon but quickly got tired of the commercials, so out came the blu Ray box set. We watched movies 2 thru 7.1 on blu ray and I'm thinking about putting 7.2 on now!
