Movies that should never have had a sequel:
  • Friday the 13th
  • Hallowe'en
  • The Pink Panther (both the old and the new versions altho frankly, Steve Martin should never have been allowed anywhere near this classic in the first place)
  • The Fast and the Furious
  • Alien 3 was an abomination but I think Alien Resurrection somewhat rehabilitated the franchise
  • Hostel (the 1st one shouldn't have been made let alone a sequel!)
  • Jaws

Are you kidding? Force Ten was not a sequel, and in fact is a better film than Guns.

Halloween
I thought the first one was really scary, but after that it was just gross.

I guess you could debate the true meaning of the word sequel, but most people would consider Force Ten to be one. Generally, another movie set in the same universe with a returning character (SSgt. Dusty Miller) is going to be considered a sequel by most people.

I think Some sequels are ok But its making a trilogy or more that really sucks. Sequels that should not have been... Aladdin 2, The Mummy 2, I still know what you did last summer, Duece Bigalow european giggilo, Butterfly effect 2, from dusk til dawn 2...Thats whats off my head for the minute.

Scream
I was in high school when it came out and we all went nuts for it at the time. So many people, myself included, saw it multiple times in the theatre.
The sequels just got silly, IMO.
