Somehow stumbled upon this old thread, and just *had* to respond...absolutely, without a doubt it has to be "The Human Centipede". Have any of you seen it? Ugh, I'm a fan of the gross and disturbing but this...I'd rather not explain the premise myself, so here's a trailer:

For a film that fits the description of disturbing.........The Lottery

It was about a town that held a lottery every 4th of July to decide which resident gets stoned to death.

They believed the town's prosperity was linked to their annual ritual.
