Black music is american music. You do not go to africa for the ground work, you go to the american south for that
It says "Black Music Month" Not Black American Music Month, or American Black Musician Month. Black Music doesn't just come from the United States. It goes back and from other places than the southern United States. African tribal music is black music which hasn't even been touched yet. So, go roll your misguided eyes elsewhere unless you have something intelligent to contribute to this thread.
