I know I'm responding to an old post, but the thread was revived, and I enjoyed reading (and listening to) the whole thing!

Melanie was the performer of
Brand New Key. I remember liking that song a lot when I was a little girl; I was born in 1963 and the song is from 1970-71, I believe.

Melanie was pretty much ignored until now, so I'll follow-up with Emeraldmaiden to make up for it.

This is another favorite song of mine from "then", but I also liked the video. It's a little bit long but very reflective of the hippie era. Enjoy!
