It's winter in Michigan. Today: High of 32 and foggy.

This song makes me think of summertime and driving with the windows down. It's just what I need to help me forget about the cold and gray:

Can I tell you how much I instantly loved the next song? For some reason or another I have never got around to listening to One Republics new album released last fall. I just listened to "Made For You" and I'm blown away with the eclectic sound, melody, beat, and lyrics. It captures that passion inside of us when we "feel." Even if One Republic is not your thing you have to give it a try. I love this song, it's edgier than the songs usually released on the radio. The drums at 2:53 just make me want to do something crazy! Oh, when you think it's over, it's not. Listen to the end....

And a little alt-country vibes for you all. Keep sharing, friends.

So, check this out, I liked both of these. I could have done without the mucus part but it definitely drives home the point. But I loved, loved, loved...did I say loved? the second song. And it totally sounds like the Pixies to me! So much passion and heart. Great song. I wish I could rep you for it!

Cool song, lyra. I've heard most all of their stuff.
Much, but not all seems depressing. (No offense, of course.) To each his own taste.
Here's one that I've heard but I don't listen to much. It's kind of encouraging.
Great for anyone who is down in the dumps most of the time.
Maybe it could help them (whomever they may be) to see a bit of the brighter side of life.

The origin of "Doo Wop". The phrase was first heard in a song in 1953, by the Clovers

The first hit with Doo Wop in the intelligible words was this beautiful classic by the Turbans, in 1955

I really like them. Please post more, if you're feeling up to it.

Wow, I really loved that Willow.

"Do you know where your heart is?
Do you think you can find it?
Or did you trade it for something
Somewhere better just to have it?
Do you know where your love is?
Do you think that you lost it?
You felt it so strong, but
Nothing's turned out how you wanted

Well, bless my soul
You're a lonely soul
Cause you won't let go
Of anything you hold"

I can see how they might come across depressing, lol, but I guess for me the lyrics and music really grip a hold of my heart with so much feeling and passion...to me their music really encompasses the emotions and feelings we feel. To me I see it as contemplative and searching...for answers and meaning in life. Then again I kind of have a penchant towards the melancholy and dreamlike qualities of music and art. It's funny that their first album is called "Dreaming Out Loud." And this one is "Waking Up." Thanks for sharing that! And now to make sure I'm sharing music....

Speaking of dreamlike...
