All right Lady Ice, since I am not allowed to make any rep comments for a while, apparently before I'll go any further - this was one of the best DM videos on the YouTube, but now the full version is not allowed in the US, only part of it))))
Ebony Eyes was one of the few songs that was ever banned in the USA. Not actually banned by any edict, but nearly all radio stations, less than a week after it's release, informally agreed not to play it, because it was perceived to be in bad taste. This rather inexplicable, since nobody had any problem with Teen Angel and Tell Laura I Love Her.
Je T'aime was also effectively banned, as radio station owners generally prohibited its airplay, deeming the sexual connotations too alluring, but a few US stations played it, as did virtually all stations in Canada, where it enjoyed great popularity. It was formally banned in the UK. Widely thought that Jane Birkin was "not acting" while singing the lyrics.
