I've seen this issue for some time now, but did not say anything, as I wanted to give it a little time. The thread has not been the same since it changed ownership. This is in no way, shape, or form BS's fault, as he's been posting like a madman.
I admit, I've been quite busy, but I still try to contribute 2-3 times a week. Where have the usuals gone? This thread was much more vibrant before. Metal is ignored in todays cesspool of popular music and media. I come here to hear the great stuff I can't get elsewhere. It's half the reason I come to CD.
WHERE IS EVERYBODY????
Is it just me, or does anyone else miss what this thread used to be?
I am wondering the same thing myself. I think that they were unhappy with the changes and just left the board, because most of them haven't been here since september.
I was asked to start the new thread and I know they supported me before they left,so I don't feel any guilt.
In the meantime I will stubbornly continue my quest to post my complete playlists.
Chuck Schuldiner and Death - Flesh And The Power It Holds (1998), Bite the Pain and Spirit Crusher
BigSwede and Ditch, I have met many of them in real life and they love your work in Metal. Jim just got too sick and they had to make a decision to keep him away from controversy or extreme hurt and give him a place where verbiage of teens and his life could be supported and accepted without jeering or emotional attacks from the older set who were/are set in their ways.
Good news is that Jim IS getting better with this latest set of treatments and his bodily pain has finally lessen enough for him to start sleeping. They really had to act fast and had no choice. He was that sick. Thank gawd for the souls who are willing to grow medical mary!
Two strands seemed to kick in and help balance his immune system. If he keeps going this way they will be back in some capacity, maybe just Metal and take their verbiage elsewhere. Personally thats too bad because I liked their verbiage but every forum/board has its own kind of vibe. No sense fighting a vibe that you don't fit.
This is what we were listening to... R.I.P Chuck Schuldiner! A lot of songs from Death's "The Sound of Perseverance" Album. Many still believe that Chuck Schuldiner was the Godfather of Death Metal.
Chuck Schuldiner and Death - Flesh And The Power It Holds (1998)
