The Beatles or The Rolling Stones?

Hmm... Seems like you're trying to say my dad is better than your dad

The Beatles- Great band, but if you're into bands spend most of the time in the studio

The Rolling Stones- Better when compared to the Beatles. More hardcore, and still sounds fresh to date. (I was listening to "Brown Sugar" live in 2003. It still sounds good)

No question, the Beatles. Love the Rolling Stones too though.

The Stones were probably the #2 band of the '60's, and their rivalry with the Beatles (much better than the '90s Blur vs Oasis rivalry) pushed both bands to produce incredible material. In the end though, its definitely The Beatles for me--they covered a wider spectrum of music, were consistently innovative and influential, never setting into a particular groove, but always seeking new sounds and styles. Plus they were the base on which the Stones marketing machine (Basically Andrew Loog Oldham) could play contrast to (Would you let your daughter go out with a Rolling Stone?).

Beatles. Then a pretty long list of other bands before the Stones rank. I do like the Stones, but they're outclassed by lots of other bands.

There's just something about the Stones. And Keith Richards cannot be killed by conventional weapons...

Never have liked the Stones so the Beatles would be my choice.

Both groups were part of the "British Invasion" back in the 1960's with both changing music in way that still reverberate today!

IMO both groups share equally in music's hall of fame!
