My dad always listened to Metal/Hard Rock and one of my first tapes i owned..
Was Poison" look what the cat dragged in" lol the guys in make-up.
Of course i wore out Def Leppard's" Pyromania".
I liked Dio,Ozzy,Judas Priest also but thats not hair metal IMO
Got hooked on Metallica's "Master of Puppets"& Megadeth.
Nirvana's CD pretty much killed hair metal overnight.
Metallica started to suck and Metal became Nu-Metal/Cookie monster vocals...
Type stuff or Screamo/Metalcore But i still listen to my 80's Metal.
Anyone mention Bulletboys??

The so-called "Thrash Metal" came about in the 1980's and I guess some bands thought they could take heavy metal one step further, which in my opinion, in some cases they haven't done that genere of music any good. There were some exceptions, but for the most part, vocalists that sound like bears in heat, when they sing with that very low octave voice. That never really appealed to me for some reason, it just sounds annoying.

I remember The BulletBoys! Good band.
