Live in Las Vegas and we just had the Rock in Rio USA debut out here. No Doubt was a headliner on the Rock weekend and many people were displeased with this... So...

Is No Doubt Rock or Pop?

Up until Elizabeth Taylor proclaimed someone the king of pop, in general usage Americans used the terms "rock" for most popular music while "pop" was reserved for stuff like Gaga and Bennett.

They were always punk/ska here when they started in Los Angeles (O.C.) but then they kind of crossed over a bit getting a lot more airplay on pop radio.

If you saw them live you would absolutely say they are PUNK. Gwen is outstanding live, well, at least she was back in the No Doubt days.
