I always loved this fun one-hit-wonder. I later learned that the guy half of the group was a childhood friend of my dad's. He's quite a bit older than my dad but he and my aunt were good friends. When my dad was young, he and his friends were treated to a concert at one of the neighborhood homes where they sang this song for them.
The song was recently used in a Target ad but re-recorded by a solo female.
