This version was nowhere the hit that the Kingsmen's was, but I was about 12 when I first heard this on TV on some dance show. The Raiders weren't even in costume yet. Fell in love with the song right away. Much bluesier than the Kingsmen's. 'Guess I was already attracted to blues'y stuff.
