And to boot, they do one of the best live shows in the world.

Can't believe these boys are still producing the flare they did in this album. It's absolutely stunningly great. Perhaps their best ever! You can tell for sure the band put forth some real effort into this album, not just another filler.
I've been an AC/DC fan since the mid 70s . . . I also like Black Ice a lot, but I don't like it so much better than other recent albums by others, OR most other AC/DC albums. I like most AC/DC albums quite a bit, and I think there has been plenty of good music in all eras.

Because you're either not acclimated to that style of music or you don't listen that closely (or haven't actually listened to AC/DC very much in general) or maybe all of the above.

I don't think all their songs sound the same. You must be the Rick Astley type.

The only song in the album I've listened to is Rock N' Roll Train and it's awesome.

IMO there's 4 maybe 5 tunes on here that could be hits.

Someone on here said something about them always sounding the same. If ever there was a band built on repetition, it's this band. But this song Anything Goes, it's anything but the same as any other song they've ever done.

And Stormy May Day has a southern type of riff like none other I've heard from these guys.

My copy has a golden yellow color. I've seen red and silver so far. It was a gift, so I didn't have a choice.

Hi, AC DC fan here.

May I kindly request from thread starter to delete the Black Ice portion of the thread, so as to make this THE thread for the band, not just about Black Ice.

They will tour in Nashville in January 31! So excited (as Im writing the background music is Shoot To Thrill) as this will be my first time to watch them.

AC DC is the best band in the world. They also have great DVD concert production team. I would say 2 of these - Stiff Upper Lip and No Bull -- are just top notch and matched only by a couple or 3 other band DVDs.

Ya me also!

Only song I really like from BLACK ICE is the first song "Rock and roll train" -- Im more of a traditional ACDC lover.... From 1990 and earlier..... (I dont really like how digital sounds so I cant really say how good this album is but the first song sounds good. Nice rockin' tune)

Not many bands held up with GOOD music up thru 1991 but they did!!!!

I have a concert from them on VHS "LIVE AT DONINGTON" (17/8/91) and every song rocks hard!! (Even the newer songs "Thunderstruck",etc)
