Most of the Beatles Songs got my vote, except for "I Feel Fine" which got my vote for '64 and "Eight Days A Week" and "Help", which I don't like. Petula Clark, Temptations, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders, Righteous Brothers, both Rolling Stones entries and "Hang On Sloopy" all received my love and affection in this poll.

I think a solid case could be made that 1965 was the best year for music, along with '66. An incredible number of artists were at or approaching their peak in those two years. For '65, I picked:
Downtown
You've lost that Lovin feeling
Ticket to ride
Help
Yesterday
Satisfaction
Mr Tambourine Man
Stop in the Name of Love
