Great list NY81! I have to agree - especially Todd. I guess he's an acquired taste, but his contributions have been many; from band member (Nazz) to solo artist to producer and engineer. He's the complete package and most guitarists will tell you that he is just awesome - and he's known for his keyboard work! Thin Lizzy was the perfect 70s band and perhaps because Phil Lynott's lyrical style didn't fit conventionality, they're known pretty much for one song today. They were one of the best guitar bands ever! And J.J.Cale; You gotta love a guy who lives in a trailer in the desert, writes rock classics and wields heavy influence on guys like Clapton, Neil Young and Mark Knopfler!

And which ONE would that be??
Was it,,
Whisky in the Jar?
Jailbreak?
The boys are back in town?
Don`t believe a word?
Dancin in the moonlight?
Rosalie?
Waiting for an alibi?
I could go on,,being Irish that`s always a possibility
Ah - Phil was Irish too, No? Actually, the only Thin Lizzy I've ever heard on the radio is The Boys Are Back In Town. That's it!
No [i]Call The Police[i]
No Johnny The Fox Meets Jimmy The Weed
No Spirit Slips Away
No Suicide
No Freedom Song
No Cowboy Song
No Fool's Gold
etc...
Even back in the day they just didn't get airtime in the US. As a result many missed out on a really great band. I got to see them as an opener for Queen around 1977 and became a fan for life and bought a lot of their records. Strangely, I've never picked up anything by Queen.
