Here's one I heard on the radio that made me think of this thread as I heard it. I can't help but think of lots of Texas cities, as well as a couple in California when I hear it.
This song here reminds me of New York. While me and my wife were on our way into the city thru the tunnel to go see the Blueman group this song was on. It was like entering into a whole different world once we arrivede on the other side of that tunnel. It was about 6:00 when we got there. People cars just bustling around.
Songs that remind me of SF because of the bands' roots and the time that I was there:
"Suavaceto" - Malo
"Evil Ways" - Santana
"Miracles" - Jefferson Starship
"Take Another Hit" - Quicksilver
"Sausalito Summer Nights" - Diesel
"Summer Days" - Sly and the Family Stone
"White Punks on Dope" - The Tubes
Can't forget all of the old KSAN jingles by the Berzerko Sisters from Berkeley either....Tom Donahue was a genius.
