"Los Angeles" by Frank Black. I love that song. Makes me think of California and how much I miss it, as do most WEEZER songs and RHCP.

YouTube - Bruce Springsteen Jersey Girl
When he sings that song there is not a dry eye in the audience and that includes men. At least this the case when he performs in NJ.

NJ fans also love "My Hometown" too as it refers to Freehold, NJ.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned these yet:

El Paso and El Paso City, both by Marty Robbins
Streets of Bakersfield, by Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam
By The Time I Get To Phoenix, by Glen Campbell
Is Anybody Goin' To San Antone', by Charlie Pride
Do You Know The Way To San Jose, by Dionne Warwick
Amarillo By Morning, by George Strait

When I listen to Chris LeDoux, I can't help but think about Wyoming, since many of his songs sing about life there. Several also have Wyoming in the song title, such as "Song of Wyoming," "Sweet Wyoming Home," "Paint Me Back Home In Wyoming," and one or two others. He also has one called "My Powder River Home" about his ranch in Kaycee, Wyoming. One of my favorite songs of his is about his journey from Montana to a Rodeo in Cheyenne, called Photo Finish. It mentions several of the towns along the way, which remind me of traveling through that area.

Livin la Vida Loca - Ricky Martin - Puerto Rico

I did some work in PR as this song was getting big. When I went out, the people went nuts (ok the women) when it came on. At that point I realized many women in PR move differently than those I grew up with in the corn belt.

The song "Los Angeles" by Frank Black is NOT about Los Angeles, California. It's about the one in Brazil. The lyrics are pretty expclicit about that. Though, LA, Calif is mentioned in that tune.

"Dr. Wu" by Steely Dan makes me think of Miami, Fl.

"Biscayne Bay
Where the Cuban gentlemen sleep all day
I went searching for the song
You used to sing to me
Katy lies
You can see it in her eyes
Imagine my surprise
When I saw her."
