Budgie guitarist John Thomas has passed away. Thomas was the lead guitarist on three Budgie albums:

Power Supply (1980), Nightflight (1981) and Deliver Us From Evil (1982).

When Budgie reformed in 1995 and 1998, Thomas was again in the fold, and left for the third and last time in 2002.

The opening track from Nightflight is wicked. One of the best faux-endings ever, followed by Thomas' incendiary soloing.
