My bosses are trying to dock my pay for charts I supposedly was paid for in December but 'never did'...as far as I can tell, their recordkeeper/biller typed the wrong [censored] numbers!!!!
Not only that, but there is another coder who is trying to take credit for some of the ones I DID do!
I texted my hubby that if they were a wildebeest and a zebra (my two bosses), they'd be nothing but a scattered pile of entrail bits and leftover bones....I'm THAT ticked off.
Almost nothing angers me more than authority covering up for incompetence...and then scapegoating the innocent.

It took 2 hours (unpaid, of course ) for me to cross-check the 'failed' list from the hospital against every daily log I had in December (I keep everything on paper and scanned electronically). A few were my error (forgot to finalize or put in my initials), one I had forgotten a zero in the acct #...but almost 20 (at $12/chart) were simply not found in my logs.
A few of them looked like the recordkeeper had keying errors (transpositions/truncations), but about 1/3 had NO possible matches in my logs.
This, boys and girls, is a good reason to never, ever work on a piecemeal/per-chart basis...only hourly. Luckily this is the only client (out of 5) we have that insisted on per-chart.
I think this old favorite one is sufficiently angry
rayne this just sucks i'd also consider calling labor board etc, especially after what this er did when you were sick and doc ordered you to stay off work. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
