This song is from the 80s.

The only lyric I have is "The road that twists and turns".... ??

The song is danceable but it had a lot of strong acoustic rhythm guitar.

Give out any and all suggestions.

I came up with a couple that it might be:

End of the Road by the Chiefs

Spoken:
The road is long
With many twists and turns
that makes it even longer
It’s a long and lonesome road
It’s a tough road
But the road is your life
And at the end of the road
It is?

Ancient Highway by Van Morrison

Don't Fade Away by Whitesnake

Don't Fade Away - Whitesnake songs lyrics song lyric

Los Lobos The Road to Gilas Bend

Road twists and turns is there no end
When I get there I can lay my head in Gila Bend

Always There In You - The Valli Girls

The road is long – it twists and turns

I couldn't find the song by The Chiefs. Are they from the 80's?

The song I heard is really danceable and the guitar sounds similar to Van Morrison's Ancient Highway.

I'm not sure I've never heard of them - here's the site I found them at

MacJams.com - Song: End Of The Road by The Chiefs

You may also try typing in ' End of the Road' in the Youtube search bar and a whole mess of them come up with that title like Boys to Men etc.
