Any advantage to relocating to one place or the other?

SC taxes are, generally, lower than NC.

To include gas prices too.

Real estate taxes next year will be $640 for me. That's with a reassessment this year and the homestead exemption. House cost: $220.

Little River all day long . Taxes , proximity to restaurants , shopping and entertainment . We are 3 miles to Main Street in NMB and 4 miles to Mineola Avenue in LR . We love our location in Little River .

My brother and cousin bought in Calabash, nephew bought in Sunset Beach. We visited Calabash for a few days and liked it. My brother recommended that we also consider North Myrtle Beach and Little River as being more affordable. IIRC, we did head in that direction for restaurants......the two we enjoyed was Captain Archies and Snooky's.....not sure where they were, but we'd go back for more.

The original Snooky's is in Little River. They recently opened a second location in North Myrtle/Cherry Grove section. Captain Archie's is in NMB right near the Swing Bridge.

Hmmm, sign's still up at 17. Will drive down the road this weekend and check it out. Been wanting to try it for awhile. They might have gotten some damage form the tornado.
