It is getting hard to find a doctor here now, due to so many people moving here. I tried to get an appointment with my primary here last week and was told there's a 6 month wait. They did get me an appointment with a new PA though. I tried to get an appointment with a GYN doctor, three places that I called said on a recording that they are not accepting new patients, two other places that I called don't take medicare. I was able to find one after many calls. Hubby had to cancel an appointment with his dermatologist, when he called two weeks later to reschedule, it's a 2 month wait. Just about all specialists require a referral from your primary. Even to get a mammogram requires a referral.
We have to travel to Charleston because there isn't a pediatric endocrinologist anywhere closer. Calling all pediatric endocrinologists - set up shop in Myrtle Beach, please!
