Basically what i'm wondering is if there are any more stylish bars/lounges around. Granted, i realize this is no metropolitan area we live in but is there any place with that sort of feel? Seems like almost every bar is a dive or sports bar, and don't get me wrong, i've met a lot of great people at them. I'm just looking for something different and more what of what i'm used to having grown up a city boy. So far from what i've heard Soho and City Bar wouldn't be bad bets. Just seeing if anyone else has some insight. Thanks!

You already know about two... you may want to try The Tunnel but it may be more of a 'hip" crowd than 'professional".

I'm all for hip as well. Any others?

*Edit: Great call on Tunnel, that's right up the alley of what I'm looking for. Thanks for the recommendation. Let me know if anything else comes to mind.

Default same problem

I just moved to St. Louis from chicago and I'm facing the same conundrum. I love it here, but I miss the trendy, young professional atmosphere. This weekend is my 24th birthday and I really want to take all my Chicago friends somewhere we can go all-dressed up and have fun. So you found The Tunnel to be perfect for this???

It's gonna be about your only choice.. unless you want to head down to The Inlet (Murrels Inlet). There are several hot spots down there.. but they are all the bar type atmosphere..

Out of curiosity, why are you posting about The Tunnel in MB when you noted having moved from Chicago to St Louis? Where are you now, SL or MB?
