Has anyone found a really, really good boarding facility for cats in Naples or Fort Myers or nearby?

Ours is a member of our family, she is used to us being at home during the day, but is very nervous around strangers. I would prefer to find a "cat hotel" that really looks after their guests, decent and spacious accommodation and interaction rather than a pet sitter that comes in to our home for an hour a day only, leaving her entirely on her own the rest of the time.

I just can't seem to find anyone other than vets who are willing to board cats for short periods in relatively small cages.

Any ideas??

Found this by doing a Goggle search for "cat hotel Naples".

Thanks movin1. I did see this website. The photos look like all the cats mingle together. Have you used it yourself?

I also saw Naples Safari Animal Hospital and Pet Resort which I will look into.

Any personal experiences, good and bad, would be appreciated.

Very good prices! After we lost our teenage catsitter to college, we checked into catsitters in the local area. They wanted at least $30/day to come twice a day to feed and scoop their pans. We have two cats and travel out of state a number of times a year. My husband's coworker, who works/lives nearby, volunteered to come catsit before and after work. He brought his two school age children with him. They loved being entertained by the kids!

The downside to the boarding issue? The majority of cats are terrified of strange surroundings. We have moved a lot over the years, and know it takes days for cats to become comfortable in a new place. They would hide under the bed and not come out!

However, this sounds very nice with decent prices, I will bookmark it in case we ever need it. Thanks.

I have used Naples Safari Animal Hospital multiple times for my cats. They are great. Your cat needs to be up on their shots and be on flea preventative.

Thank you renog1rl, I appreciate your recommendation!

To everyone else, thank you for your comments and suggestions. I know kitty is best at home, but we haven't as yet found someone we trust or someone who does not want a huge fee for a quick half our visit. We shall keep looking!
