I once had a panic attack (never had one before, didn't know what its was) on a Friday night about 8 years ago because at 10PM (after working since 8am showing properties, making calls, doing deals, navigating Miami traffic), that I had 2 RUDE customers just keep on arguing and arguing with me. My heart was racing, I couldn't calm myself down. Thankfully my wife had a Xanax from a flight we took a couple years ago and that worked. I saw a doctor the next day and told me it was just stress/panic and nothing was wrong. This was before I had my 1st iPhone . I ended up getting an iPhone (un-related) and learned about 'Do Not Disturb'. So 10pm-8am, my phone wouldn't ring and I wouldn't hear the text 'BING' constantly. I also 'fired' both customers after I left the doctors office.

Point is - that's how much stress GOOD Agents are under. Its a constant. We're never off. I went to Scotland for 2 weeks recently. Thankfully my partner got our pending deals to close and took on 2 new listings. But still, I had people texting me (KNOWING I'm IN SCOTLAND), emailing me, calling me, and even one idiot customer argue with me (I'll only do a price drop if you drop your commission..like its my commission of why the house isn't selling! Not the fact that you have 3 teenagers, 2 dogs, the lights are always off and the kids don't leave during showings! Needless to say I dropped him when I got back from Scotland).

our customers know - you'll always get the listing agent or co-listing agent when you need something pretty much 7 days a week (during regular'ish hours) from us. You're never in the dark. Giving good service is still paramount to being a good negotiator, or good marketer or property specialist.

Unfortunately this happens with a lot of jobs where you're never off. It all depends on what profession you choose. You are lucky that you can fire customers that drive you crazy. Most professions you have to suck it up.

Yes, I have a hospitality degree and background working in various hotels....never again
