I am not into to the HOA police/kiddieville postage stamp treeless sub divs...but would like to stay within 15 minutes to the airport...seems to me MJ is feelin too much of da love these days and frankly I just don't care to duke out a bid with some lawyer from Long Island moving to MJ with this 4 kids who has to have THAT school district

I need a good sized house close to 3000 sqft but want to stay under 300k. Any ideas? What's the area between MJ and Hermitage like? Surely there are some neat remote parts of outer MJ that aren't as congested as Providence? It's getting as bad there as in Franklin! Thanks!

Very, very thin. Not sure about exact city limits but as far as perception, one stops where the other starts (the county line). But if you mean the area between, say, Old Hickory Boulevard in Hermitage and Mt. Juliet Road (of which the county line is part), that's where I live, albeit in one of the subdivisions you wouldn't care for. I like it around here, though. Easy access to both Hermitage and MJ shopping and amenities, but still a mix of suburban and even semi-rural stretches. If you're wanting to maintain some proximity to the airport you'd probably be looking at Central Pike, Old Lebanon Dirt Road or Division Street and offshoots thereof.
