But it will have some of the highest rents in the area.

Any time you are in closer quarters with people, you are going to have conflict. But this is not a bottom-of-the-barrel area.

You really need to visit here before you start deciding on areas.
Thanks, Brentwood Pointe looks nice. I don't think we can afford Tapestry, as much as we'd like to.

I'll be visiting for work in the next month so I'll have a chance to look at apartments then.

My other question is on the schools, how do they work? Should I have applied already? Here in LA, for my daughter's school, I applied in Feb.

You can apply now in both Metro Nashville (Davidson) and Williamson County. But you have to know where you're going to live so they can enroll you in your zoned school.

Update: I looked at tons of apartment complexes (including the Brentwood Pointe condos) and I'm trying to decide between The Landings of Brentwood and The Farms of Cool Springs. The Farms is about $150 more but they are also zoned for Kenrose (Williamson School District) while the Landings is zoned for Johnson (FSSD).

The Farms is more because it's got a more updated kitchen and just generally nicer grounds but...I'm not sure if I want to pay $150 more per month for that. (Price is a concern since we are underwater in our current house so we'll be renting it out, but for less than our mortgage.)

I'm trying to decide today which one to go with...anyone have any thoughts either way? Please help!

IF you can swing the extra per month, I would choose the Farms in a heartbeat.

Kenrose is an excellent school.

The Farms complex is about 25 years newer than the Landings as well FYI.
