Not sure how I feel about this. I love Nissan, but "Nissan Stadium" just doesn't have the ring to it that "LP Field" does.

Titans' stadium LP Field to be renamed Nissan Stadium

Detroit has Ford Field for the Lions and boxer Joe Louis Arena for the Red Wings
They do have Lions & Tigers Parking.

Nissan and Bridgestone were never HQ'd or had much of a presence in Detroit. In fact, neither Nissan or Bridgestone have global HQ in Nashville, just the American arm. Ford and General Motors are both bigger companies and have their global HQs in metro-Detroit.

It was a joke comment to begin with. No one here is going to seriously contend that Nashville has a bigger auto industry presence than Detroit.

I will probably forever call it "The Old LP Field" . Even that rolls off the tongue easier than Nissan Stadium!
