The Hockey Night in Canada crew has done interviews between periods with players in the hall outside the locker rooms, for decades. A quick 2 minutes, but with the understanding that it is a thing that makes hockey players a different type of athlete , compared to MLB NFL or NBA players.

Can you imagine any of those other sports players being willing to be interviewed , even for a couple of minutes, between innings, or between periods, or at any time during a game ?

A further point.....the NHL has a strict dress code for players. They are required to be dressed in a suit, leather shoes, a dress shirt and tie, when they arrive at the rink, and after the game too. The same thing for public events, except those that are exempt, like a visit to a kids hospital, when team wear is acceptable.

Now think about the NBA.......

xxx.

True about the dress code. I flew with the team last year to one of the games and it was very strict business casual dress code on the plane for everyone except the equipment guys who were busy working.

Joey is getting a great start on recovery.

Pretty much everyone that is not producing at a high level so far will need to step their game up.

We're not as strong or as fast of a team without Joey or Fish in the lineup. Not to mention faceoffs, penalty kill, etc.

I'm going to take a stab at the forward lines for tonight:

Forsberg - Jarnkrok - Arvidsson
Wilson - Sissions - Neal
Aberg - Watson - Salomaki
McLeod - Fiddler - Parenteau

It would be nice if Craig Smith would get healthy, too. Hopefully Fisher, if out, will only be out for 1 game.

One of the predators foundation events had a trip with the team as one of the items you could win and I won it. We flew to Washington DC and spent the night. The next day was free most of the day until time to go to the arena, then we went to the Caps game and then flew home. It was lots of fun.

I would like to see Harry Z back into the lineup.

I forgot about him. He would probably be a good choice, at least in terms of bringing speed.

I do want to see a line with Watson and Salomaki hitting everything that moves. And by everything, I mean Ryan Kesler and Corey Perry.
