I didn't even know IKEA sold "Chester drawers". That poor Chester from Gunsmoke is going commando!

I bet IKEA sells a 'chest of drawers'...

You're probably right but I think almost everybody I know pronounced it as "Chester drawers" instead of "chest of drawers" when the word "of" is "replaced with the "er" in "chester". I had never written that word out or read it any where and therefore had no reason to question it or even really give it too much thought.

I was in my mid 50's when I found out that "Lake Dale Hollar" along the Kentucky/Tennessee border is pronounced is spelled Dale Hollow". The same way Loretta Lynn pronounces her hometown "Butcher Hollar" instead of Butcher Hollow.

We still call it Dale Hollar because the word Dale Hollow just doesn't sound right. It doesn't flow good and it doesn't roll off the tongue as effortlessly and gracefully as "Dale Hollar".
