I am relocating for work and will eventually move closer the city but for about 5 weeks I will have to make the trip from Clarksville to Nashville for work(my schedule will be 6am-2pm). How terrible is the drive? I know it’s about an hour away if there aren’t major traffic disruptions.

For 5 weeks in spring/summer/fall the commute from Clarksville to Nashville will be fine. You do have to take care & be alert for possible wrecks. As you get closer to the city from Briley Parkway you have more options if/when something messes up. At 6am southbound no problem at all. Going north at 2pm may be some traffic until I-24 splits from I-65 in the Fern Avenue Trinity Lane area.

A lot depends on your final destination on West End, Midtown, or downtown to get from work to the interstate. After the 5 weeks you will have a better idea where you need to be to be at work on time. If you left 7am until 3pm or 8am till 4pm travel times could be different.
