Sutton Hill/Marengo Park
I see listings for some nice houses that are relatively cheap in the Sutton Hill/Marengo Park neighborhoods. Any opinions on that area?

Are those "neighborhoods" or sub-divisions? Nashville? I've never heard of them & did a quick google search on Sutton Hill Nashville & it just comes up as a sutton hill road.

Okay I looked at the map where sutton hill rd is and there is a merengo near. That's a safe location near Woodmont. Traffic gets backed up in the evenings pretty bad around there, but it's definitely a safe neighborhood near many conveniences.

Sorry, I guess they're subdivisions. (What's the difference?) You've got the right area though. South of 440, east of Granny White, west of Franklin Pike.

The difference to me was I had no idea where you were talking about without googling it. People on this forum post about different counties surrounding Nashville. I knew from following some of your other threads that it was most likely Nashville but the above-referenced info about South of 440, East of Granny White was what I needed to answer your question. For all I knew it was a hot neighborhood in Lascassas (sp?) that I'm not hip to.

zips are sometimes helpful too. I really do like that area and it is really changing for the better. It is one of the areas where I think you can still get a great deal. Good Luck!!

Marengo Park is a great area with older Tudor, ranch and cottage style homes . One thing to be aware of is that as you get closer to I-440, road noise will become more of a factor, if that is of concern to you.
