Looks like Nashville ranked #1 in America's Friendliest People again...

America's Friendliest People- Page 2 - Articles - Travel + Leisure

Good to be in there with the likes of New Orleans and Charleston...

I'm not surprised. I first came to Nashville for college years ago from the Pacific Northwest and was just floored at how friendly it is.

30 years later, I'm just floored at how rude many other cities are....

It's a nice thing to get used to here and frankly, to take for granted. Traveling always reminds me of one of the big reasons I've chosen to live in Tennessee.

We've lived in a lot of places and yes, we do find the Nashville area to be very friendly.
I'm also a business traveler...on the road about 40 weeks a year....and I find the same to be true. My territory is all over the south and by far, not every place fits the reputation of southern politeness and hospitality.
The way I see it...even if some of it is phony, it is nice to be treated well during your day! It's easier to be pleasant than rude or indifferent!
